Is The Course For Me?

The ten-day Gong Master Training is a comprehensive deep dive into the Art and Science of Sacred Sound. Through both hands on experiential learning and engaging theoretical sessions, beginning students and those that have already taken their first steps into this world, will gain the knowledge and experience to develop their own sound healing practice.

New students receive a wealth of teaching, and for returning ones, the process of understanding deepens – incorporating new dynamic levels of embodied practice. Like reading a good book, the first time it’s read, the story becomes familiar, the second time, the offering meets the reader differently, whereby the repetition enables the story to evolve.

With this training, what is revealed to the student is similar to the Gong itself – always entirely new. There is also a growing trend of combining the gong with other healing modalities. Students who have already studied other modalities such as Yoga, Psychotherapy, Reiki etc often attend to gain the skills necessary to enrich their practice

What You'll Learn During Your Stay

The emphasis will be on all areas of Gong Mastership depending on the needs of the students. Topics will include:

Other Helpful Course Information

You will be guided on a road to Mastery in the use of Sacred Sound as a transformational tool and in the service to Humanity. Each day we will be working with different sacred instruments; to learn how to use them in performance and healing for others as well as ourselves.

Students will have the opportunity to play and experiment with master quality instruments (both modern and collectable antiques): gongs and singing bowls. They will also receive instruction on the shruti box, chanting, toning, singing and conch playing. All material and equipment will be made available to students so there is no need to own or bring anything in order to participate on this course.

However students are welcome to bring their own Gong or other instruments, if they would like.
Participants will be guided in the use of the gong as a transformational tool weather used for personal practice, 1-1 therapy, Group Gong Baths, performance, or the all-night Gong Puja. Students will get the opportunity to experience the gong and other instruments in all of these contexts.

BONUS: GMT Chakra Dancing & Creative Expression Workshop

In this fun and creative healing workshop led by Liz Whiter, students are invited to explore each of the Chakras through Music and Movement. This freeform, joyful and spontaneous movement practice is led by Elizabeth to an eclectic mix of global music influences composed especially for each Chakra including shamanic drumming, funky soul. Latin jazz, native Indian chants, rattles, percussion, ambient nature sounds and Tibetan bowls.

It is recommended to wear loose clothing and trainers or bare feet to energise the body and free the Spirit!

This workshop has proved very popular with GMT students to enhance creative expression, self-empowerment and confidence in group gong playing sessions.

Other items to bring include:
