Elizabeth Whiter

Elizabeth is the founder of Chakra Dancing and teaches professional and insured Diplomas in Chakra Dancing, Sound and Creative Meditation at her professional healing practice in Sussex.

​She regularly performs at the OM Yoga Show Alexandra Palace, Mind Body Spirit London, Gong Master Training and the Medicine Musical Festivals. She is an accredited gong player, animal healer and facilitates fundraiser gong baths for animal charities and has appeared on the BBC1 for World Yoga Day. ​​

​Liz's workshop has proved very popular with GMT students to enhance creative expression, self-empowerment and confidence in group gong playing sessions.

GMT Chakra Dancing And Creative Expression Workshop

In this fun and creative movement healing workshop students are invited to explore each of the chakras from the root to the crown. This free form, joyful and spontaneous movement practice is led by Elizabeth to an eclectic mix of global musical influences composed especially for each chakra.

The music is powerful and uplifting: From the deep earthy shamanic drumming at the root to the funky soul of the sacral, let go of stress with the staccato punchy Latin jazz at the solar plexus.

​Then breathe in the intoxicating upbeat rhythms of the heart. We then journey together to the higher chakras and embrace our ancestors with native Indian group chanting and play rattles and percussion instruments at the throat before unwinding to gentle body work with ambient nature sounds at the third eye.

Feel enlightened at the crown with a moving angelic classical piece before descending through the chakras to the echoes of the Tibetan Bowls to ground the body and complete our circle of friendship and loving kindness to each other.

​This workshop is suitable for all GMT students and all levels of fitness. Please wear loose fitting clothes, trainers or bare feet. Let's energise the body and free the spirit!
